Strand
Twice as hard as oak, strand bamboo is an optimal choice for busy homes when durability is needed to stand up to the wear and tear of family foot traffic, active kids and even pets.

To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure.  This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors.

And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

It's simple...
Eco-Friendly. Beautiful look. Beautiful price.

  • Q:

is bamboo appropriate for use as bathroom flooring?
Asked on 10/8/2015 by carpenters wife from alaska

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered or vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4 and 5mm click together products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

I want to put this in several rooms: living room, family room, kitchen and bedroom. Will this product hold the weight of a baby grand piano and withstand the traffic of 2 dogs?
Asked on 7/12/2015 by Busy grandma from South Amherst, OH

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
      Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

I bought carbonized bamboo for a rental the floor looks amazing!
The tenant left a leaking water bucket on the floor and it caused a stain. Can it be refinished?
Asked on 6/23/2015 by Yvonne the bamboo novice from Ventura, California

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Usually refinishing will not remove deep water stains, board replacement may be a better fix.
To restore the original shine of a solid hardwood, bamboo, cork, and engineered floor a screen and re-coat may be needed or a complete refinishing. A professional sand and finish expert would have to make the determination on site on which sanding process will be needed or which can be done to restore the floors shine.
      Thank you for your inquiry
