Dream Home - 12mm Vintage Acacia Laminate Flooring- Lifetime Warranty

The deep, warm to medium hues of Vintage Acacia make for a stunning floor!  Dream Home offers a regal alternative to hardwood and the V-groove design makes these laminates easy to install.  At 12mm, this item is very durable and it comes with a lifetime warranty!

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

Highlights:
- 12mm V Groove Laminate
- 3mm (1/8") Pre-glued Underlayment attached
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture Resistant and Sound Reducing core
- Lifetime Warranty

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

  • Q:

Can you install this flooring by starting in the middle of a room and go out from both side? If not why? What kind of locking system is on the end of the piece?
Asked on 11/28/2016 by Mike the Newbie

      A:

      Unfortunately not!
This cannot be installed "backwards" without compromising the integrity of the installation.
This has an "overlap" end joint.

  • Q:

Our floor is 50 continuous feet, will this material work? I've heard that with some of these products they cannot be run over 25ft.

    Please advise
Asked on 2/9/2016 by Virginia from Chicago, IL

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

This Laminate flooring needs room to expand. An expansion gap of 10–15 mm (3/8" to 5/8") should always be left around the perimeter of the room (e.g.: between the flooring panels and the walls or any other fixed elements, such as heating pipes or door jambs).
This expansion gap can be covered up with baseboards, quarter rounds or the appropriate floor trim.
T-Mouldings (at least 2 cm (1") in width) must be used between adjoining rooms, hallways and doorways. T-Mouldings must be used in the middle of rooms measuring more than 10 metres (33') in the direction of the panel length and more than 8
metres (26') in the direction of the panel width.
      Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

Can this be used in the bathroom, or should I be worried about water damage?
Asked on 2/2/2016 by Ali from Md

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered or vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4 and 5mm click together products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

Do you know if each plank have the grooves that once they are snapped together it looks like real wood? Or is it a smooth plank to plank surface.
Asked on 8/18/2015 by Randolph from United States

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

Yes, this flooring comes with beveled sides and beveled ends.
St. James offers a regal alternative. The V groove makes it a snap to install and the random lengths give your floors a real wood look and feel.
I would recommend visiting your local Lumber Liquidators to look at the actual sample (take home samples are free) or order a sample to make sure this is the right product for you.
